Job description

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Marketing Specialist at our Headquarters location in Warren, OH. This position will travel 25%.

Marketing duties

• Creates, communicates, maintains and implements division standards
• Manages marketing duties for assigned accounts
• Creates customer communications and engagement initiatives
• Manages large scale volume of requests for signage and marketing needs
• Liaison between field operators and HQSC marketing department
• Support client relationships through scheduled meetings and account retention objectives
• Special projects assignments

General

• Incorporates AVI's Vision, Mission, Success Statement and Core Values into all projects and assignments
• Actively participates as an engaged and productive member of the AVI team
• Follows AVI and department policies and procedures
• Actively participates in the development of department initiatives
• Actively participates in staff meetings and conference calls
• Exercises appropriate judgment and decision-making, and handling of classified or confidential information

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications or a related field
• One to three years marketing experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software; Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Knowledge of Adobe InDesign beneficial
• Knowledge and familiarity with food service industry beneficial
• A creative personality who melds creativity with actions. An innovative thinker; always thinking of new ways to improve
• Ability to express ideas in a unique and compelling manner
• Outstanding research and organizational skills. Good interviewing skills to gain information and clarity about a project
• Self-disciplined with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work extra hours if needed on assignments.
• Possesses the flexibility to adapt to the influences of an ever changing marketplace
• Enjoys gathering and synthesizing information, taking a methodical approach to writing, and informing or entertaining an audience through his or her writing
• Possesses a solid grasp of grammar and spelling, and be able to use language accurately, effectively and creatively
• Excellent verbal and written skills; intense listening skills. Ability to understand and clearly communicate financial business models as they are presented in internal company communications
• Executes professional standards at all times: attire, communication, behavior
• Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and the ability to organize and present them clearly and concisely
• Has the courage and ability to provide feedback and challenge thinking in a positive, win-win fashion
• Economically tuned in; and a steward of AVI resources
• Proactive, detail oriented, accurate, and able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with minimal supervision; adept at managing multiple, complex and time-sensitive priorities
