Job description
What You'll Do: 3rd shift w/every two weeks, 24 hours per pay period Act as the house-wide Nurse Supervisor, ensuring coordination of patient care across different levels of care during evening and night shifts. Collaborate with Nurse Executive, nursing managers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care delivery and achieve desired outcomes. Serve as a liaison for nursing managers and Nurse Executive during off shifts, facilitating communication and operational continuity. Provide, delegate, and coordinate nursing duties as necessary to ensure high-quality patient care. Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of direct and indirect patient care on hospital forms within established timeframes. Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through participation in performance improvement initiatives. Accept accountability for professional practice and ongoing development. Stay updated on current nursing practice standards and hospital policies/procedures. Uphold a positive professional image through exemplary appearance and behavior. What You'll Bring: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN registration in the State of Ohio. Preferably holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Willing to meet continuing education requirements (24-contact hours every two years). Maintains continuous certification in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS). Attains and maintains certifications in ACLS, PALS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and De-escalation within six months of employment. Demonstrates proficiency in interpersonal communication and teamwork skills. Exhibits strong leadership qualities with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Shows commitment to patient-centered care and improving clinical outcomes. Adheres to ethical principles and professional standards of nursing practice.
