Job description

PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION

The Sr. IT Project Manager works with the Leadership Team and Project Management Office to obtain the necessary resources to support the project and manage organizational change required to achieve project objectives, maintain budget and realize benefits.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Duty 1: Manage Enterprise projects that impact technology; this includes work plans, resource management, project deliverables including project measurement post go live and communication plans
  • Duty 2: Creates and manages projects through all gateways while ensuring all project elements are delivered
  • Duty 3: Delivers a clear communication plan to all Stakeholders, Business Owners and Team Members; including but not limited to decision, risks, scope creep and deliverables
  • Duty 4: Monitors overall project progress, including timeline, resources, risks and decisions, etc
  • Duty 5: Works collaboratively with performance improvement and IT analysts through all phases of the project
  • Duty 6: Mentors other Project managers
  • Duty 7: Participates in governance

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, healthcare or related field with 5+ years project management experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience and/or knowledge with Electronic Medical Records (EMR's) or similar Healthcare Information Technology
  • Thorough knowledge of information systems and their application to healthcare and ability to creatively use existing resources for problem resolution.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to focus detailed concentrated effort to multiple projects and re-establish priorities as necessary. Ability to effectively respond to time sensitive issues and meet deadlines
  • Mastery of desktop applications, including MS Office (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and) and database management applications
  • Proven experience in training others in project management techniques
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse constituencies within the healthcare continuum, including board members, executives, physicians, clinical professionals, other leaders and frontline associates
  • Ability to adapt to changing technologies, regulations and healthcare practices
  • Ability to work well in a team, build relationships with stakeholders across different levels of the organization and manage risks effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • This position is remote eligible. Must have the ability to be onsite at Leadership request
  • A valid driver's license is required (if you do not have a valid Ohio driver's license you must obtain one within 30 days of your residency in the state). You must also meet BVHS's company fleet policy and insurance company requirements, and any other requirements that may be required to operate a vehicle.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree such as MBA, MHA, or similar in Information Technology, healthcare or related field
  • Agile, Scrum Experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The individual must have excellent verbal communication skills to perform daily tasks. The associate must have corrected vision and hearing in the normal range.
