Job description

Responsibilities.

Calibration Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting and repairing failures. They use various tools and techniques, such as soldering and microscopic inspection, to fix faulty connections and ensure quality standards. They also perform diagnostic tests and debug issues to identify and fix problems.

  • Figure out what went wrong with the units identified at the line as failures.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams of the units to get to the root cause of such failures.

  • Use of instruments and testers to diagnose the problem with the units.

  • Perform rework/repairs when necessary and document error types and participate on containment actions for the line.

  • Give inputs on PFMEA to Process Manufacturing to address common issues.

  • Maintain the equipment in good condition.

    Requirements

  • High school education or GED equivalent and prior experience in related area.

  • Electronic aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work within the various software applications utilized throughout the corporation.

  • ESD and IPC-A-610 knowledge a plus.
