Job description

Job Summary:

Responsible for passionately leading continuous improvements (Kaizen) workshops, engaging the entire workforce in implementing and institutionalizing one-piece flowlines.

Essential Job Functions:

Participate and lead kaizen workshops.

Must utilize continuous improvement (Kaizen) tools to support manufacturing processes and flow lines.

Research, understand and implement right sized solutions for quality and process improvements.

The individual must be willing and capable of Moonshining (develop, modify and build) machinery or devices that adheres to Pursuit's Universal No's, and ensuring operator and part safety.

Lead and support Pursuit Tiered Review Process.

Basic Blueprint reading and interpretation.

Basic design and fabrication skills.

Provide creative and innovative hands-on solutions.

Capable of collaborating with all levels within of the organization such as Operators, Engineers, Leads, Quality, EH&S, and Pursuit KPO.

Support and participate in various roles throughout the company as needed.

Willing to learn and mentor others.

Travel to other Pursuit sites to participate and lead kaizen workshops.

Cover for the Site KPO leader when necessary.




Qualification Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering.


A strong passion for Kaizen, with a servant leader mindset.

Understanding of mechanical components and machine design.

Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.

Desired Characteristics:

Manufacturing and/or Operation experience preferred.

Must be self-motivated with a sense of urgency and adaptability.

Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Continuous improvement (Kaizen) knowledge and experience preferred.

Familiarity with requirements for aerospace component manufacturing that includes having knowledge of aerospace fabrications, machining, laser technology, welding, coatings, and heat treatment is also preferred, but not

required.

Physical Demands:

Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking.

Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.

Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
