Outside Sales - Shuttle & Spotting

As a Spotting & Shuttle Sales Representative, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their transportation needs, and providing tailored solutions. You will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and prospects in the trucking industry.
  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to identify new business opportunities.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients, showcasing our services and value proposition.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements that align with company objectives and client expectations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Pricing, Operations, Marketing) to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline progress, and client interactions using CRM software.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of pricing methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills; able to problem solve quickly.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and displays good organizational skills to effectively prioritize work and the work of others.
  • Ability to lead projects follow up with assigned staff including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of common transportation practices
  • Ability to analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long range goals.

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years in Transportation.
  • Dedicated/Shuttle/Spotting/Full Truckload Dry Van experience preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics or a related field preferred.
  • Sales Experience in Dedicated, Spotting, Shuttling preferred
