Telecom Network Engineer, Senior 100% on-site Columbus DLA IAT-II (Security+ CE, CCNA or CCNP Security, GSEC, CySA+ SSCP) CLTECH-Cisco Certified Technician Clearance: SSBI/T5/IT-I and Secret PCL Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a Senior Telecom Network Engineer for a potential opportunity to work under general supervision to design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Telecom/Collaboration architecture. In this role, the individual will: We are developing the requirements to resolve or address current deficiencies in the infrastructure due to the changing demands of the current environment. Performs aspects of project management and communicates project statuses to project stakeholders. Work on installing and configuring the new devices, and submitting ECRs to request IPs, ports, and VMs when necessary. Work with Data Center POCs to secure rack, power, and connectivity. Develop required specifications to submit solutions for simple, moderate, and complex problems. Coordinates with the Vendor PM, Government PMO, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters. Provide input to short/long-term strategies and participate in budget planning. Capable of performing at/or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer, and VTC Lead equivalencies. Must, at times, be able to perform above or below acting grade/position. Required Skills and Experience: Provides engineering support for the design, configuration, installation, and sustainment of all software and hardware infrastructure including Patch and Vulnerability Management Provide to the CR an engineering plan, as needed, for any integration, reconfiguration, staging, and installation of VOC and COOP equipment Effect coordination with COMSEC, Data Center, and ITOC personnel Provide engineering and integration of the DLA VTC, SV, and IPTV/DIGITAL SIGNAGE infrastructure with upcoming DOD VTC programs and initiatives Provide test plans for the testing and evaluation of replacement equipment and new technologies related to VTC, SV, and IPTV/DIGITAL SIGNAGE infrastructure systems Document engineering changes required for VTC, SV, and IPTV/DIGITAL SIGNAGE infrastructure by ETN Configuration Management (CM) policies Recommend and implement any required component and configuration changes to the VTC, SV, and IPTV/DIGITAL SIGNAGE infrastructure in support of the VOC and COOP. Required: IAT-II (Security+ CE, CCNA or CCNP Security, GSEC, CySA+ SSCP) CLTECH-Cisco Certified Technician Preferred: Experience with management of Video Teleconference (VTC), Streaming Video (SV) Internet Protocol Television, and Digital Signage (IPTV/DIGITAL SIGNAGE) infrastructure and equipment and services.
