Job description

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Commercial Roofing Foreman to lead and manage roofing crews on commercial projects. The Foreman will oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with company standards, OSHA regulations, and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of various roofing systems, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and personnel efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of roofers, ensuring all assigned tasks are completed on time and to the highest standards.
• Plan, organize, and direct day-to-day work activities on-site, coordinating with project managers and other trades.
• Ensure proper installation of commercial roofing systems, including but not limited to TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, metal roofing, and built-up roofing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient installation.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and company policies, ensuring that all workers follow OSHA guidelines and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct safety meetings and job hazard analysis before the start of each project or shift.
• Troubleshoot roofing problems and develop solutions to ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Manage and track materials, ensuring the timely ordering and delivery of supplies to prevent job delays.
• Perform quality control checks throughout the project to ensure the roofing work meets client and industry standards.
• Maintain project documentation, including timesheets, progress reports, and safety logs.
• Serve as the point of contact for clients, contractors, and other site personnel to resolve issues or concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in commercial roofing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial roofing systems such as TPO, EPDM, PVC, and metal roofing.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team and interact with clients and subcontractors.
• OSHA 30 certification is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in varying weather conditions.
• First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

• Majority of time spent outdoors on construction sites, exposed to weather elements.
• Requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting materials throughout the workday.
• Must adhere to safety regulations and use appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment).
