Experienced Probate Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Our esteemed client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Probate Paralegal or Legal Assistant to join their dynamic legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for probate law and a track record of hands-on experience in trust and estates matters.

Key Requirements:


  • Minimum 3 years of practical experience in trust and estates/probate law
  • Proven ability to handle probate-related tasks independently
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • ABA paralegal certificate not required; emphasis on practical experience

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and file comprehensive probate documents, including petitions, inventories, and accountings
  • Conduct thorough legal research on probate laws, court rules, and relevant case precedents
  • Gather and meticulously organize client information, including assets, debts, and beneficiaries
  • Liaise effectively with clients, court personnel, and attorneys regarding case updates
  • Coordinate meetings, hearings, and court appearances for attorneys and clients
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and records
  • Provide crucial administrative support, including drafting correspondence and managing calendars
  • Assist in the preparation of estate plans, wills, trusts, and related legal documents
