Job description

A local company is seeking a Human Resource/Benefit Associate to assist the Director with human resource and benefit responsibilities. You will work 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Job Responsibilities:

Maintain a working knowledge of agency personnel policies, benefits, and retirement plan and provide this information to applicants and staff
Assist in the new-hire process; prepare packets and distribute employee parking gate keys
Administer all employee benefit programs, new hire information, benefits enrollment, and continuous benefits support
Work with Annual Open Enrollment with Brokers, Vendors, and Retirement Plan, in compliance with the Employee Retirement Income Security Act
Review and reconcile quarterly reports, assist in compiling information for auditors during annual audits, and transactions such as enrollment, contributions, distributions, rollovers, and loans
Respond to personnel inquiries and request, maintains personnel file, and distribute benefit-related information as provided
Greet visitors or callers and handles their inquiries or directs them to the appropriate persons according to their needs
Compile analytical reports, statements, and summaries related to benefits accounts and submit them to the appropriate departments on request
Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma; Associates Degree or certification in a related field is preferred
Must have a minimum of 3 years experience with benefits and human resources
Must have a working knowledge of agency personnel policies, benefits, and retirement plans
Must be able to compile analytical reports, statements, and summaries related to benefits accounts
Must maintain knowledge of electronic filing by using On Base, Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and other Human Resource Information System
Must possesses a knowledge of the time clock system
Must have excellent communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills
Must have the ability to pay a high attention
Must maintain confidentiality at all times
