Job description
Our retail domain client, is seeking a Java Restful Service Developer to join their team. As a Java Restful Service Developer, you will be part of the retail supporting Team. The ideal candidate will have Java , Restful API, and Azure Cloud which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Java Restful Services Developer
Location: Blue Ash/Cincinnati, OH
Pay Range: $65.00/hr.
Job Summary:
The Services Developer will participate in development, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting of software solutions that meet business needs. The Services Developer will participate in design sessions and complete estimates. The Services Developer will communicate with the Services Tech Lead to ensure that assignments are delivered with the highest quality and in accordance with standards. This role will be adding functionality to existing applications as well as developing new applications that will monitor freshness delivered by clientt stores. This Services Developer role is with the Supply Chain Fresh team.
Job Qualifications:
• 1+ years of experience in systems analysis, design or programming and the associated development methodologies.
• 1+ years of experience coding in Java
• 1+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs
• Experience with designing, building and releasing APIs
• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing integration
• Knowledge of SQL.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git, GitHub SaaS
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Ability to interact well in a team environment
• Proven communication skills to effectively communicate information to team members
• Knowledge of developing services on a cloud platform such as Microsoft Azure
• Experience with the Spring Framework (Persistence, REST, Messaging, Integrations) such as Spring Boot
• Knowledge of core features of Spring such as Dependency Injection and Aspect-Oriented Programming, Spring Security etc.
• Knowledge of SQL Database and NoSQL Databases
Job Functions:
Develop high-quality codebase, participate in design discussions, execute development against design, and navigate complex codebase
Build partnerships across the application, business, and infrastructure teams
Develop programming specifications. Design, code, and unit test application code using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices
Complete estimates and work plans with more senior team members' assistance as appropriate for design, development, implementation and rollout tasks
Create technical system documentation and ensure that this documentation remains current throughout all phases of the SDLC
Communicate with the appropriate teams to ensure that assignments are managed appropriately; ensure that completed assignments are of the highest quality
Support and maintain applications utilizing required tools and technologies. Provide support for applications, including involvement with the Support Center, NOC, Infrastructure teams, and vendors as appropriate
Participate in on-call rotation periodically
