Description:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. This role involves collaborating with various departments to support day-to-day financial operations and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Record financial transactions and journal entries in accordance with GAAP.

Assist in the month-end closing process by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and participating in financial statement preparation and analysis.

Generate and analyze financial reports for management review. Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Solid organizational and time management skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.

CPA, CMA, or MBA designation preferred.

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
