We're looking for a Mac Support Specialist to join our ranks in greater Cincinnati, Ohio! Are you a proactive problem solver with exceptional customer service skills? You will put your technical expertise to use, providing our more than 900 home office employees with the technology support they need to do their jobs. In addition, you'll provide technical recommendations and support to our more than 2,000 advisors, as well as their staff regarding any technology they use. Ours is a fast-paced, on-your-toes environment, and a positive, can-do attitude is a must.

Please note: This is a full-time opportunity, working 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. PST with a 60-minute lunch break.

Key Accountabilities

  • Providing first-level Apple device and software support to home office staff, as well as to Commonwealth advisors and their staff, on a wide range of issues
  • Supporting Mac users in an enterprise environment, helping to acclimate users to Apple products for business use, and providing technical support to advanced users
  • Prioritizing and processing help requests to provide technical problem identification and resolution

Core Strengths and Skills

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to accurately and effectively troubleshoot and solve technical problems and find solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (phone etiquette, listening skills, and follow-up skills)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with macOS (10.13 and newer)
  • Experience with Microsoft Office for Mac 2016/2019/Office 365 functionality and troubleshooting basic connectivity issues; experience with advanced Outlook functionality and protocols involved with connecting to Exchange
  • Mobile device support, including iOS and iPadOS, as well as watchOS and tvOS.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and domain environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot TCP/IP networking issues, including network devices such as printers and scanners

Additional Skills and Knowledge

  • 3+ years' experience supporting MacOS and iOS
  • Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) certification preferred
  • Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT) certification preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with networking hardware and software, such as firewalls, routers, switches, VoIP, and VPN, a plus
  • Experience in a tech services or helpdesk role on campus a plus
