The Controller will be responsible for the overall day-to-day Accounting / Financial management/

We are seeking a hands-on, well-qualified and highly motivated individual to oversee our Accounting department. This position requires strong technical accounting background and a strong foundation in best practices and staff development.

Essential Duties, Functions & Responsibilities

• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Prepares periodic interim financial statements and presentations to Board Committees and the Board of Directors
• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
• Exercises confidentiality in the execution of day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate and Supervise existing Accounting staff
• Assists with GL, FS, Cash Flow monitoring/integrity, work with grants and monitor project budgets with project leaders, and ensure that projects are managed in compliance with funding guidelines
• Works closely with management to update, manage, and develop new ideas, processes, policies and practices for more efficient and smoother operations

Ideal Experience:

• Several years of Accounting experience at a Controller or similar level
• Non-Profit, Grant of Fund experience is a Plus
• Bachelor's Degree
