Experienced MIG Welders

1st shift positions Mon- Thursday 5:45 a.m
- 4:30 p.m.
2nd Shift Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-2:45am

Must be able to read blue prints, pass weld test.
Job Summary Fabrication - TIG and Flux core welding of sheet metal parts consisting of a variety of materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc. Duties and Essential Job Functions

  • TIG, MIG and Flux core welding of metal components in accordance with manufacturing drawings, layouts, diagrams, and spec sheets while maintaining compliance with all applicable standards of safety and performance
  • Must have/provide own fabrication tools (Welding Helmet, Measurement Devices, etc.)
  • Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw gun, drill, and grinders
  • Safely operate overhead crane
  • Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tools
  • Maintain weld machines using preventative maintenance methods
  • Continually evaluate weld machine performance and technology to improve cycle times
  • Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Properly clock in and out of each job processed via data collection hardware (Start time and stop time)
    Physically sign off on job routers once work has been completed for applicable work center
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • May work at different workstations as production needs require.
  • Other duties as assigned
Academic Competencies
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • College or Trade School for welding or relevant on-the-job experience
  • 3-4 years' experience welding in metal fabrication environment preferred

  • Ability to read manufacturing blueprints
  • Effective communication skills
  • Must be able to effectively solve problems and troubleshoot
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
  • Flexible and adaptable to change jobs and material as needed to keep jobs flowing
  • Assures compliance with appropriate safety practices and procedures and with applicable federal, State, and local codes, OSHA regulations and requirements
