Job description

SEC Reporting Specialist:

The SEC Reporting Specialist will be responsible for preparing and filing financial reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in compliance with all regulatory requirements and guidelines. This role requires a thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

This is not a full time role - This role is full time at each quarter end with intermittent working times throughout the year. This position is great for someone who is more seasoned in their career!

Key Responsibilities of the SEC Reporting Specialist:

  • Prepare and file all SEC-required documents, including Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, and other registration statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SEC regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements and disclosures for accuracy and consistency.
  • Stay up-to-date with SEC regulations, U.S. GAAP, and other relevant financial reporting standards. Ensure that the company's financial reports are in compliance with these standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Qualifications of the SEC Reporting Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in SEC reporting, public accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial reporting requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

The SEC Reporting Specialist role requires to be within a commutable location to Cleveland, OH, and the work can be done mostly remotely, with some visits to their Cleveland office. Pay $80 - $100 depending on experience.
