Travel Nuclear Technologist Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medicine procedures and diagnostic evaluations following the policies and procedures set forth by the facility.
Order, prepare, and administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician order.
Perform procedures by following and verifying referring orders; Use and apply learned methodologies according to established policies and procedures.
Produce high-quality images and prepare/present them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation by physicians. Prepare and maintain accurate documentation.
Exhibit compassion while interacting with patient, explaining procedure thoroughly and answering questions as appropriate.
Ensure patient medical records are complete. Obtain accurate histories and explain rationale for procedure to patients.
Select appropriate equipment settings and position patient for appropriate view.
Monitor patient's wellbeing during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Adhere to radiation disposal and other safety policies.
Demonstrate the ability to build collaborative relationships with peers, co-workers, and hospital staff.

Travel Nuclear Medicine Technologist Requirements:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) certification required
ARRT required
State license required
2 years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of professionalism during stressful times
Valid Driver's License
Background and drug screen
