Overview

Works under the supervision of the Manager of Noninvasive Cardiac Services and lead Ultrasound tech. Performs Diagnostic Echocardiography and/or Vascular Ultrasound procedures for ordering physician to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: One to two years of relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered Vascular Sonographer, and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Certified Cardiac and/or Vascular Sonographer through the Cardiovascular Credentialing International must be obtained within one year of hire. Required.
    • BLS Certification, required
  • Additional Skills Required: Knowledge acquired through the completion of a one/two-year Echocardiography or Vascular Ultrasound program, or Medical Sonography program.
