CRNA job : Kenansville, NC

Seeking a Board Certified CRNA with 4 years of experience (minimum) to help provide coverage for their team. New providers will need to come in the day before scheduled start date for orientation.

Coverage Need:

Ongoing recruitment

M-F 7-3 with rotating Call 1 Night per week and 1:3 weekends

Need 1 F/T CRNA

Details:

• Must be proficient in Epidural Placement
• Established practice with experienced CRNAs and MDA support
• # of surgical cases per month: 160-170
• Yes ICU/Critical Care Duties to include intubations when needed
• Occasional moderate procedural sedation in the ER
• Caseloads consists of GenSurg, GI Endoscopy, OB/GYN, healthy PEDs ENT, Peds Dental, Cataracts, Ortho
• Must be proficient placing labor epidurals, spinals/ITN in obese patients, and comfortable with pediatric patients
• Nerve Stimulators or U/S Machine available
• BLS, ACLS, & PALS Certifications Required
• Not required to do femoral nerve block
• Must be able to provide anesthesia w/team & independently
• Procedures : Epidurals and or intrathecals for labor patients and spinals for C-sections
• EPIC EHR experience preferred

24-hr Radiology available

EKG: read by ED physicians initially, then Vidant Cardiology in Greenville, NC

24-hr Surgical Services available

Ortho available 4 days/week

Cardiology, on site 5 days/week

Critical Care via telemedicine

Psychiatry available

24/7 Hospitalist programs (Med-Peds)

Coverage Need:

5/29/23 - ongoing

Weekly work schedule/hours: 32-40hrs

M-F with one night of call: 7am-3pm weekdays, Call: 3pm- 7am call

Details:

• Must be proficient in Epidural Placement
• Inpatient & Outpatient
• Call Schedule: 1:5 every 5 th weekend
• Established practice with experienced 4 CRNAs and 1 MDA support
• # of surgical cases per month: 200
• Will not respond to codes
• Will not serve as backup in the ER
• Occasional moderate procedural sedation in the ER
• Must be proficient placing labor epidurals, spinals/ITN in obese patients, and comfortable with pediatric patients
• BLS, ACLS Certifications Required
• Procedures : Epidurals, General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Urology, Gynecological Surgery, Podiatry
• EPIC EHR experience preferred

Note

5 OR facility with endoscopy suite and Labor and Delivery Epidural coverage provided by CRNAs. Daily coverage is 4 CRNAs with 1 of these CRNAs being on call.

1 MDA available daily in OR and for call cases. Medical Direction in OR and CRNA only for endoscopy and Labor and Delivery. Call is covered from home with 20min response time. Call back for OR cases is rare but occasionally call CRNA will cover the OR after 1630 if cases are still running. CRNA call person responsible for Epidurals after hours.

June 13& 15 Days

M-F with one night of call: 7am-3pm weekdays, Call: 3pm- 7am and 1:4 weekend call

Job Details:

• Both Inpatient and Outpatient
• Run 3 OR rooms daily
• Epidural call coverage 6 days/month (included in call rotation)
• Endoscopy coverage
• Not required to remain on site for call; Must be on-site within 30 minutes of a call
• Call shared with CRNA staff
• Required to see patients of all ages
• Approx. # of Surgical Patients per month: 100
• CRNAs provide anesthesia for additional 100 endoscopies per month
• Critical Care ICU Duties (Intubations & Cardioversions)
• Must be able to work autonomously
• ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
• Procedures: Epidurals, Spinals and Emergency Airway Management
• BLS, ACLS, PALS Required
• EMR=EPIC (HealthSpan)
