Overview:
WHO are we looking for?
The Benefits Senior Manager will develop, manage, and lead employee benefits function within the organization. The Senior Manager will play a lead role in CAPTRUST benefits including but not limited to health and welfare plans, wellness initiatives and behavioral health, 401(k) plan administration, and paid time off.
Responsibilities:
Advise and consult in the development of short-term and long-term benefit plan, wellness initiatives, and budgets based on broad corporate goals, acquisitions, strategic planning, and growth objectives
Administer 401(k) plan and ongoing components of SECURE 2.0
Participate in benefits committee and 401(k) investment committee
Evaluate and analyze the results of current programs including reporting on benefit loss ratio, claims control, and budget
Administer leave policies in various states
Review and analyze the benefits market to determine employee needs, trends, regulations and practices, and develop competitive programs to meet company goals
Plan and direct the implementation and administration of benefits programs designed to ensure employees against loss of income due to illness, injury, or retirement
Direct preparation and distribution of written and verbal information to inform employees of benefits changes.
Design, evaluate, and modify benefits policies to ensure that programs are current, competitive, and in compliance with legal requirements
Administer paid time off and paid sick leave policies in accordance with federal, state, and local law
Identify and implement benefits to increase the quality of life for employees by working with broker and researching benefits issues
Manage the design and development of tools to assist employees in benefits selection
Administer, direct, and review employee benefit programs including the evaluation of benefit programs during mergers and acquisitions
Assist in handling employee's benefits related questions and service as intermediary between employees and benefits broker
Fulfill all reporting requirements of all relevant government rules and regulations including the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and HIPAA Compliance
Primary financial analyst for benefits design
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resource or related field or equivalent years of experience
5+ years of self-funded benefits knowledge
5+ years of related experience in HR leadership role
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
SHRM-(S)CP or CEBS is preferred
Self-funded design experience
Excellent time management skills and ability to set priorities
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with ability to use Microsoft Office products
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations and compliance requirements
Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and communicate data
Very detail oriented
