Responsibilities:

Responsible for performing the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and supplying materials (raw, work-in-process, and finished goods), parts, supplies, and equipment. Is knowledgeable of receiving and/or distribution function, packaging equipment, and parcel shipping systems. Identifies, troubleshoots and resolves practical problems associated with material/warehouse operations. Must maintain forklift certification.

Processes the administrative and physical tasks involved in shipping, receiving, checking, rejecting, storing, staging and supplying materials (raw, work-in-process and finished goods), parts and supplies, to operators, workstations and distribution center. Includes SAP transactions as required with these tasks. Ensures orders containing Dangerous Goods (DG) declarations are processed in accordance with transportation by-laws. Handle hazardous waste as appropriate.

Works with transportation providers to facilitate the unloading/loading of materials to and from trucks(s) and physically inspects shipments for damage and accuracy of "piece" count per procedures.

Ensures products are properly labeled and inspected as indicated by Client processes.

Complete all SAP Training to obtain the necessary profiles for shipping, receiving, material management and inventory management. May train and implement functions in SAP to other associates for SAP materials management (examples: goods receipts, bin to bin transfers, PSA maintenance, STO processing, etc)

May be responsible for conducting cycle counts to maintain accurate inventories, including bin management for warehouse PSA's.

Maintains accurate and traceable records and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

May conduct site Forklift training according to procedures.

Must be able to work overtime as required to meet Client business requirements.

Participates in site Lean culture events and Safety teams as required.

Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the department

Job Dimensions:

Use company vehicle as needed to pick up or delver materials to local companies.

Work a flexible schedule when the need arises.

Assists in identifying inventory discrepancies and their root cause.

Frequent use of forklift shrink wrapping machine, pallet jacks, company vehicles, and operation of other mechanical equipment.

Performs various clerical duties in order to complete assigned tasks (i.e. faxing, copying, typing, filing) and other duties to meet the departmental goals.

Maintains a clean work area and follows all safety procedures.

Follows Company and departmental procedures including ASR's that address the FDA and ISO regulations, OSHA requirements, EEO, and 49 CFR, Hazardous Materials Regulations.

Responsibilities:

High School Diploma/GED

Valid Driver's License

2-5 years receiving experience in a regulated environment (e.g. ISO, FDA, FAA)

Previous work experience using a forklift

Certification in Dangerous Goods (DG), including IATA, DOT DG, or IMDG; or complete training course within one year of hire date

Legible handwriting and excellent basic math skills

2-3 years experience using (MS Office - Excel, Word, Outlook)

Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Training and experience in transportation and logistics including experience working with logistics/shipping software (e.g. FedEx, UPS)

2-3 years' experience with Inventory Management Systems (such as SAP)

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and in team environment

Education and Experience Preferred:

Associates Degree in business or related field (degree may substitute for 2 years of experience)

Experience working in an FDA regulated environment

3+ years SAP warehouse management modules

2-3 years' experience with quality systems and inventory cycle counting

Familiarity with "Continuous Improvement" tools (FIFO, Lean, 6 Sigma, JIT, TQM, etc.)
