Job description
Job Title: Supply Technician Pay: $28.63/hour Job Description: Assist government with receiving, issuing, and storage of material, identify, request, and receive material, parts, and supplies; examine and inventory items of supply received to verify part number/stock number and quantity according to the shipment documentation. Ensure condition code, (i.e., completeness and serviceability of parts and material prior to distribution. Prepare material for dispatching using correct material handling methods (IAW Army regulations) and devices to ensure receipt at final destination, without damage or discrepancies. Perform physical inventories, preparation of reports, maintenance of records, and the operation of various types of vehicles, material handling, and cleaning equipment. Job Requirements: Be licensed to drive/operate Government owned commercial vehicles (up to a Class C non-CDL) and material handling equipment (including but not limited to box trucks or fork-lifts). Forklift certification must be maintained annually. Be capable of lifting weights up to 40lbs. and carrying the weight for a distance of up to 30 feet unassisted. Heavy exertion, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and walking may be frequent and is required for the performance of these tasks. Be knowledgeable of basic supply management principles and Army regulatory requirement.
Have applicable training or proven experience with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army) Logistics Information System. 2-5 years of experience is preferred (experience with predecessor/legacy system may count towards this requirement). GCSS-A certification must be provided. Warehousing and Supply personnel duties include, but are not limited to: Providing customer assistance in a timely and courteous manner. Providing support to units in accordance with Army Supply Regulations, DA Pamphlets, USASOC Policies and Procedures, USASOC Policies and Procedures, technical manuals, and standard operating procedures. Applying basic supply management principles and knowledge of regulatory requirements and performing supply management functions pertaining to property request, receipt, storage, issue, inventory, and property accountability. Assisting the Government with the receiving, issuing, and storage of material, parts, and supplies; examining and inventory items of supply received to verify part number/stock number and quantity according to the shipment documentation. Ensuring condition code, e.g. completeness and serviceability of parts and material prior to distribution. Preparing material for dispatching using correct material handling methods and devices to ensure receipt at final destination without damage or discrepancies. Performing physical inventories, preparation of reports, maintenance of records, and the operation of various types of vehicles, material handling, and cleaning equipment. Maintaining files in accordance with applicable Army regulations. Using Force Management System Web (FMSWeb), the Army enterprise portal for all AESIP and Logistics Data Analysis Center (LDAC) applications, Army Vantage to perform data analytics and GCSS Army to conduct/review all property book transactions. Reconciling authorization documents with property records and identify, initiate, and track all types of administrative changes required to adjust Primary Hand Receipts and/or the Property Book for PBO approval (Catalog changes in GCSS-Army using DD250 receipts, DA 3161 lateral transfers, and DD1348-1, issue and turn-in documents. Assisting in identifying excess property for redistribution through internal cross-leveling requirements and/or provide turn-in disposition. Maintaining frequent contact with units to resolve issues concerning property book management.
Posting property accountability transactions using fax copies of adjustment documents except for Financial Liability Investigation of Property Loss (FLIPL). FLIPL's shall be input directly into the system (these documents cannot be faxed or scanned). Posting in GCSS-Army all standard and non-standard Line-Item Number (LIN) equipment reflecting serial numbers and annotate them in the property book accounts for each hand receipt holder. Ensuring all issue and turn-in documents are complete, legible, and accurate. Work Requirements: Personnel shall work a standard 40-hour work week (7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
