POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and general maintenance of mechanical systems of

plant/production machinery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION

1. Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned

2. Regular and predictable attendance

3. Analyze, trouble-shoot, and repair mechanical problems of plant machinery. Follow up with work orders to ensure the problem is repaired properly. ;

4. Perform regular PMs to prevent equipment downtime

5. Ability to read schematics and trouble-shoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLC's, and motors

6. Ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirement.

7. Work with maintenance crew to carry out maintenance and repair projects in mechanical, fabrication, plumbing, welding functions

8. Attend weekly toolbox meetings and shift change meetings

Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including federal and/or state required environmental systems, OSHA Safety and Health rules, fire and electrical safety codes and manuals, and standard operating procedures.

10. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including Management, employees, and vendors.

12 Working knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software configuration and troubleshooting, network configuration and troubleshooting.

1. Provide technical assistance to the Production Department.

2. Search for and suggest ways to eliminate maintenance work, lengthen service life between repairs, improve uptime, and improve procedures.

3. Attendance must be exemplary at all times. Must be able to work flexible hours and/or extended hours when needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED.

3+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of technical school education and

experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Prior work experience in the corrugated industry.

REQUIRED SKILLS

TECHNICAL SKILLS

The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:

o Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.

o Product layouts and production specifications.

o Product quality specifications.

o Quality standards.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Able to communicate thoughts and ideas for improvement both verbally and written.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate.

Able to apply concepts of high school math.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic

form.

Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
