As a Strategic Communications intern, you will assist in developing and executing communication strategies to enhance the organization's brand visibility and stakeholder engagement. Your tasks will include creating content for various platforms, conducting research, and supporting team initiatives to promote key messages effectively.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The ideal candidate for the Strategic Communications Intern would be pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field. Professional experience should demonstrate business acumen and understanding in order to successfully conduct and prepare strategic communications with professionals across multiple disciplines. Education and experience should be sufficient to provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work and assignments of the position. Additionally, conveying a professional and command presence during partnership development and ongoing project engagement with stakeholders will be essential in this role.

If you are selected to fill the role of Strategic Communications Intern, you will need to present a valid driver's license, pass the pre-employment drug screen and background screening process. Travel may be required on occasion. Hours worked are flexible up to 20 hours per week but not to exceed 1,000 hours annually.

At the Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC), we work to implement creative regional solutions to improve the lives of the community. When you visit our vibrant office conveniently located in Kernersville, the center of the Triad, you find our passionate staff members working diligently to fulfill our mission. Our office is on the southside of the Interstate 40 at the NC Highway 66 interchange. It is a 20-minute drive to downtown Greensboro, Winston Salem, or High Point. Our location is equipped with an electric charging station.

Our organization has seven core departments; Area Agency on Aging, Criminal Justice, Economic Development, Community Development Services, Management Services, Regional Planning, and Workforce Development. Our staff in each department specializes in serving its niche of the Triad community.

SALARY RANGE: Salary is $14.00- $20.00 per hour. Generally 20 hours per week and not to exceed 1,000 hours annually. FICA and EAP services only.

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt

FULL-TIME/PART-TIME: Part-Time

LOCATION: NC, Kernersville
