Job Title:

Sheet Fed Press Operator (2nd Shift)


Job Summary:

The Company is a global leader in consumer packaging, is seeking a skilled Sheet Fed Press Operator for our Greensboro, NC facility. As part of our dedicated team, you will ensure the operation of high-quality sheet-fed presses used in producing cartonboard and folding cartons. Youll play a key role in our mission to deliver innovative, sustainable packaging solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain sheet-fed printing presses, ensuring optimal production and print quality.

  • Perform setup, calibration, and adjustments on presses for various jobs, including paper feed, color registration, and ink viscosity.

  • Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards for all printed materials.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any press issues in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Complete daily machine logs, ensuring accurate documentation of production output and downtime.

  • Follow all safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet and exceed customer expectations.


Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications are a plus.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating sheet-fed presses (e.g., Heidelberg, KBA, Komori) in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

  • Familiarity with print specifications, color matching, and quality control procedures.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and quality standards.

  • Certifications in 5S, Six Sigma, or related continuous improvement processes are preferred.


Work Environment:

  • Shift: 2nd shift (5 PM - 5 AM, rotating 2-2-3 schedule).

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in a noisy manufacturing environment.

  • This role may involve exposure to ink, solvents, and chemicals.
