CaroMont Health is currently hiring Clinical Pharmacists - Emergency Department in Gastonia, NC!

Description of the role:

At CaroMont, the Clinical Pharmacist, performs a wide variety of duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the organization and its patients focusing on management of emergency department patients. Provides medication-related information to physicians, staff, and community. Serves as a liaison to assigned patient care areas with responsibility for outcomes including patient satisfaction and quality measures. Mentors and educates pharmacy staff, residents, and students in area(s) of specialty. Coordinates delivery of pharmaceutical care within the assigned specialty by serving as the subject matter expert for order sets, patient care protocols, policy development / revision, and multidisciplinary rounds.

Licenses And Certificates-REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy from a recognized college or university; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.

Current NC pharmacy license required.

Completion of accredited PGY1 residency program or 5 years of equivalent clinical experience required; emergency medicine specialty residency preferred.

Board certification required within 12 months of hire.

Clinical Pharmacist Practitioner (CPP) required after at least 6 months in the position with successful credentialing through the medical staff / NCBOP.

Must meet ASHP preceptor criteria.

Maintains active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Excellent communication and teaching skills.

Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies.

Knowledge of quality measures.

Considerable skill in performing pharmacy procedures.

Considerable ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members

Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
