Job Function:
Ensuring correct and efficient loading, shipping, receiving of product at the On-Board Warehouse. One shift, Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30 pm (or similar). Ensuring correct and efficient processing of customer trim, trim bins, and assorted packaging materials.
Brief Job Description:
This position requires that the On-Board Warehouse operates smoothly and without incident. Warehouse workers are to ensure that all returned product is correctly and efficiently handled, reported, put away, inventory updated and stored so as not to cause any hazard. The duties listed below are not all-inclusive as other items may arise from time to time that fit into the scope of the Warehouse Workers.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED
Valid Driver's License
Lifting to 50lbs
Long term standing, bending, stooping
Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
Requirements:
Unloading and storing the raw materials, packaging supplies, product received from vendors and our client and their customers. Worker safety is required.
Filling out the receiving reports/forms for ALL materials received and ensuring recording clerk receives.
Ensuring that all required paperwork for outgoing and incoming shipments is processed as accurately as possible.
Storage of the retrim, packaging supplies and other material in the appropriate locations in warehouse. Scanning into location is mandatory unless scanner is down and then manual entries into the inventory must be made promptly.
Pick product from warehouse using the order sheets, check to make sure all the packages are correct and in satisfactory conditions prior to loading. Complete the Loading/Unloading Audit sheets and record any findings noted. Make required corrections to ensure only quality loads are shipped.
Load product to be shipped to the customer following the procedures in place (three checks - picker - checker, third check is done at time of loading by the loader). Ensure security of loads and take a photo of the completed load prior to releasing to driver.
If a shipment is received by this warehouse associate unloading is responsible for a quality check and to take photos of any damaged material. The photo will be reported to the Warehouse Supervisor or group leader immediately and reported. If the material is going to be sent to another destination, packaging errors must be corrected prior to our shipment.
Perform inventory counts/cycle counts as directed.
Load shipments of burn to be shipped.
Sweep and keep the warehouse clean and neat. Organize materials and packaging supplies in a first in first out and orderly manner. Maintain all supplies, product in its proper location.
Count and put into inventory the product received back from customer. Notify customer immediately of any returns and request disposition.
Maintain housekeeping throughout the warehouse. It is necessary to ensure quality and safety.
Each associate will spend the necessary amount of time conducting a walk-through housekeeping and equipment inspection prior to departing from their shift and make any corrections needed.
All associates are responsible for stable stacking and movement of product.
Other Tasks as Required :
Washing pallets as requested by plant site. Stretch wrap cleaned pallets. Locate and turn in count for inventory.
Sweep and keep the warehouse clean and neat.
Maintain housekeeping throughout the warehouse. It is necessary to ensure quality and safety.
Cut cores for emergency stock of size that may not be normally stocked.
