Job description
The position involves providing comprehensive transportation operations support by reporting transportation requirements to the Transportation Branch Chief. Responsibilities include weekly reporting on transportation readiness issues, personnel and equipment movement requests, second destination transportation validations, and container inventory data. The role also requires validating unit movement data and personnel transportation requests daily, assisting with Deployment Readiness Exercises (DRE), and maintaining GSA fleet accountability. Regular updates to transportation data on SharePoint and conducting teleconferences with MSU/DRU Transportation sections are required, along with offering technical guidance on transportation movement requests, container management, and SDT issues. The position involves daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting cycles, fleet upkeep, and participation in the Vehicle Usage Review Board. The contractor must provide ongoing assistance to Major Supporting Units (MSUs) and Direct Reporting Units (DRUs) to ensure readiness and compliance with Government validations. Responsibilities Report transportation issues and concerns regarding readiness to Transportation Branch Chief.
Report Government validations of second destination transportation requests to Transportation Branch Chief.
Report container inventory data to USARC G4 Transportation section and Transportation Branch Chief weekly after
Government approval submission.
Provide guidance and assistance to MSU/DRUs concerning Personnel and Equipment Transportation Requests as
appropriate.
Review for accuracy, update, and provide advice on Unit Movement Data (UMD) Assist the Government in maintaining
the GSA fleet accountability.
Review for accuracy and validate Second Destination Transportation (SDT) Requests Validation (Daily) after Government
approval. Qualifications Must be a US citizen.
Must have an active Secret clearance.
Must have an associate's degree in either transportation or a related logistics field, or eight (8) years full-time equivalent work experience in transportation areas to include Personnel and Equipment Transportation, Second Destination
Transportation (SDT), Unit Movement Data (UMD), Container Management, and General
Service Administration (GSA) program management.
Must be willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.
