Job description

Duties Execute established FORSCOM mission requirements and procedures for Crisis Action System (CAS) and the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES). Monitor FORSCOM Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) deployment/redeployment missions. Conduct situational analysis of FORSCOM DCSOPS military operations mission requirements and resources and makes recommendations to commit G-3/5/7 division resources. Serve as Watch Officer, Forces Command Watch Team to work closely with military officers and NCOs who augment the Watch Team. Coordinate and monitors units, equipment, and personnel supporting Defense Support. Maintain knowledge of the command's force structure, contingency planning, force stationing, and operational readiness levels of subordinate commands. Requirements Conditions of Employment Position requires working irregular shifts. Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance. Subject to random drug testing. This position is Emergency Essential. Employee is expected to be capable of limited travel (when required). This position is Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations. Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
