Job description

Minimum of a Top Secret clearance is required for consideration - will be upgraded to TS/SCI Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer to support USSOCOM Special Operation Forces Warfighters' enablement and technology. This position is on-site at Fort Liberty, NC and will work under a TS/SCI clearance. This opportunity offers opportunity for professional development and advancement while directly supporting National Security. Responsibilities: Network Design and Maintenance:
Design, install, and maintain the network system.
Manage network performance and coordinate its use.
Evaluate hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for network systems.
Perform configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and support of Cisco networking devices, WAN/LAN optimization systems, VoIP/RoIP/Video, and encryption devices.
Security and Administration:
Maintain and review system and security logs.
Maintain, create, and delete user accounts.
Administer network policies, procedures, and standards.
Enforce security procedures and maintain system security.
Maintain and update system security plans across various platforms.
Monitor and remedy attempts to penetrate or corrupt server files.
Institute troubleshooting and incident response procedures.
Technical Skills:
Apply expertise in numerous networking technologies including EIGRP, route redistribution, route filtering, Multicast, QoS, NBAR, GRE tunnels, Layer 2/3 switching, interVLAN routing, NAT, VPNs, Spanning Tree, standard/extended ACLs, TACACS, Solarwinds, Riverbeds, and encryption devices.
System Administration:
Perform administrative operations and maintenance of server hardware and software.
Maintain baseline configurations and perform modifications of configuration settings.
Monitor usage statistics and logs.
Requirements: Certifications:
CCNA (Required - can be considered if in examination process)
CCNP (Preferred but not required)
Education:
BA/BS and 3-5 years of relevant experience
3 - 5 years of relevant experience
Compensation: Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 depending on experience Full Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Paid Holidays
