Job Title: Technician Assistant

Contract Duration: 6+ Months

Location: Durham, NC

Work Type: Onsite

About the Role:

As a Technician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and validation of innovative devices for the animal health industry. You will work closely with engineers to build, test, and improve devices, ensuring their performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Device Testing and Validation:

Conduct tests on devices to gather data and identify performance issues.

Monitor test setups and record observations.

Assist in the development of test procedures and protocols.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.

Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Implement preventive maintenance procedures.

Lab Support:

Organize and maintain a clean and organized lab environment.

Assist in assembling and adjusting devices.

Document test results and findings.

Required Skills and Experience:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred).

Strong hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with light machining (drill press, mills, bandsaws).

Knowledge of engineering principles and practices.

Experience with CAD software.
