Overview:
The Analytical Method Transfer group is seeking a Scientist I with protein chemistry experience. The AMT group is a technologically diverse group that primarily performs formal Tech Transfer, Qualification, Validation and Verification of test methods coming out of the development group and then transitions them into our Quality Control group. This high performing group is the interface between the development and quality groups and is responsible for ensuring long term success of the methods entering into QC.

The position will primarily focus on laboratory drafting and execution of analytical method protocols. Individuals in this role are expected to execute protocols as written, assess the data and troubleshoot. This position will also support manufacturing activities by providing testing support which may require occasional off hours work. Analysts are expected to follow cGMP documentation practices and initiate deviation, lab investigation, method revisions and other related activities within the quality system.
The successful candidate requires the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
Experience with the execution of method qualification/validation protocols.
Experience in one or more of the following fields: HPLC/UPLC, capillary electrophoresis, plate-based, spectroscopy or biophysical characterization methods.
Good interpersonal skills, the ability to work individually or as part of a team, and problem solving capabilities of standard laboratory techniques.
Have strong oral communication skills.
In addition, the successful candidate must be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with defined deliverables and deadlines
GMP experience a plus
Proficiencies:
The Scientist I has the following proficienciesAdvanced knowledge of chemistry and/or biochemistry and associated techniques
Independent planning, execution, and interpretation of routine laboratory experiments.
Able to assist in analyzing, data plotting and reporting results of laboratory experiments
Independent use and application of more complex instrumentation, computer systems and software for data acquisition and analysis
General knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Understands basis of experimental design
Understands and applies required techniques in support of projects and studies according to pre-defined plans and protocols
Able to monitor on going experiments and identify and resolves or suggests alternates or solutions to complex occurrences
Required education and experience:
The position typically requires a MS and 1+ years' experience or a BS and 4+ years' experience, or AS and 6+ years' experience.
