RTI International is seeking a Global Payroll Specialist responsible for performing all activities necessary to process domestic and international payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all necessary activities to complete semimonthly and monthly payroll; including, but not limited to, time collection, new hires, terminations, PTO balances, tax forms, garnishments, retro pay, overtime pay, deductions, international allowances, bonuses, off-cycle checks, check delivery, direct deposit, etc.
- Resolve and respond to payroll processing and employee payroll issues.
- Respond to outside requests for payroll information such as employment and wage verifications, garnishment inquiries, tax notices, etc.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll files, systems and reports in compliance with various governmental regulations.
- Assist with responses to audit, regulatory and general ledger inquiries. Prepare journal entries. Assist with quarter and year end processing.
- Preparation of relevant and requested management reports and audits.
- Assist with system tax updates and testing.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Assist and support additional projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and 4 years of experience, Associate's Degree and 0 years of experience, or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to effectively work independently and within teams.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient knowledge of payroll tax and labor laws, garnishment requirements, payroll recordkeeping and reporting regulations.
- Understanding of HIPAA and FLSA regulations.
- Understanding of Payroll and reporting systems.

Hiring Salary Range:
$52,000-$64,000
