$5,000.00 Hiring Bonus Description: NSI requires a Senior Software Engineer to lead the Digital Transformation efforts and provide support to FRC East Facilities at Cherry Point, NC. Services will support operational research and analysis with software development requirements to support digital tools used within the division as well as troubleshooting issues and incorporating improved capabilities. The Senior Software Engineer will review detailed specifications, drawings, and supporting documents, evaluate proposals, and present conclusions and recommendations and is experienced with Microsoft Power Platforms and will provide organizational, intermediate, and depot level weapon systems engineering consultation and liaison services and technical assistance pertaining to evaluation of available options or the feasibility of different advanced approaches to assist in resolving complex issues related to software engineering, computer hardware/software installation and maintenance, modification, refurbishment, and/or retrofit for systems, subsystems, structures, support equipment, components, and software in support of aircraft and depot facility equipment. Provides FRC software engineering services to include preparation, review, and maintenance of Electronic Work Packages for production and engineering support. Provides an assessment of the software development approach taken by the OEM/Supplier, present briefings and assist with developing technical reports to document progress and results. Provides On-Site support within the FRC industrial complex to include developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions in support to any of the aircraft, engine, or component rework facilities/shop areas. Provides support of digital workload and process flow tools across all the Facilities Plant Planning division products and services. Provides support solving problems in a narrow specialty field, or over a broad scope of specialties applicable to the specific program tasking by reviewing and preparing engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical as it pertains to Digital Transformation and software development and application. Displays proficient and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad software engineering and scientific concepts, guiding the analysis of unique problems, and developing new and improved techniques and methods. Interprets, organizes, and executes projects concerned with unique or controversial items having a major effect on the programs by applying engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Provides FRC production support and software engineering services. On-Site Production Shop support will take place within the FRC industrial complex. This includes support to any of the aircraft, engine, or component rework facilities/shop areas. Reviews and prepares project and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, lead problem resolution efforts, and interface with system or program Contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects. Location: Cherry Point, NC Education: Relevant degrees are BS degree in in professional engineering (from an American Board for Engineering and Technology ABET -accredited educational program) or a relevant scientific/technical degree in the applicable task area. Preferred Certifications: Certification in Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) or Certified Software Engineering Professional (CSEP). Experience: At least ten (10) years of extensive experience performing the functional duties to be performed for this position. Security Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.
