Overview:
Novant Health is seeking a Mgr Chaplain Education. The position has system-wide responsibility for the continuing development and education of chaplains and implementation of a Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Program for educating future spiritual care professionals. Ensures compliance with ACPE guidelines and maintaining accreditation, oversees CPE reimbursement process. Responsible for system curriculum development, while providing flexibility for creativity and addressing unique needs of each market/facility. Serves as ACPE certified educator within CPE program. This is a fully onsite position in Charlotte, NC, with possible relocation assistance.

Qualifications:
Education: Graduate Degree from School of Divinity or Theology, required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of leadership experience, preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospital spiritual care role, required.

Licensure/Certification: Board certification by one of the following: APC, NACC, NAJC or CPSP, required. ACPE Certified Educator, required.

Additional Skills (required): Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills and group facilitation.

Experience with family and group dynamics.

Knowledge of diverse religious traditions and resources.

Ability to provide guidance, continuing education, and developmental feedback to spiritual care professionals.

Knowledge of process management and improvement; including staffing processes, and ACPE Accreditation responsibilities.

Additional Skills (preferred): Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate within a matrix structure having shared responsibility for resource allocation.

Experience with budget oversight.

Knowledge of research in the field of spiritual care and professional chaplaincy.
