A Typical Day:
Pennymac is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Engineering to lead our Sales & Marketing Engineering workstream. This critical role will oversee multiple teams of talented engineers across three key areas: CRM, SFMC (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and Zendesk. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of technical leadership, strategic vision, and the ability to drive innovation in support of our sales and marketing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

Provide overall technical leadership and direction for the Sales & Marketing Engineering workstream.

Develop and execute a strategic roadmap aligned with business goals, ensuring that technology solutions enable and enhance sales and marketing initiatives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with sales, marketing, and other key stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.

Team Management and Development

Recruit, hire, and develop high-performing engineers across the teams of CRM, SFMC, and Zendesk.

Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.

Mentor and coach team members to reach their full potential.

Technology Oversight

Ensure the effective design, development, and maintenance of Salesforce applications, including those built on the Salesforce Financial Cloud.

Oversee the management and optimization of SFMC, including configuration, integrations, and campaign execution.

Provide strategic guidance for the Zendesk platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our customer support teams.

Champion the use of AWS serverless technologies to enable efficient and scalable data pipelines and integrations.

Operational Excellence

Establish and maintain high standards for software development, testing, and deployment.

Implement processes to ensure system reliability, security, and performance.

Manage budgets and resources effectively.

What You'll Bring:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Technical Skills:Deep understanding of Salesforce ecosystem, including Sales Cloud, Financial Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.

Experience with Zendesk or similar customer support platforms.

Strong knowledge of AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, SQS, etc.).

Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes.

Leadership Skills:Proven ability to lead and inspire technical teams.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strategic thinker with a strong business acumen.

Results-oriented with a focus on delivering value to the organization.

Compensation: Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below:

Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and/or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.

Salary:
$140,000 - $175,000
