- This group provides comprehensive, high-quality primary health care to our patients regardless of ability to pay. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), we provide health care to all members of our community, including low income, indigent, and uninsured patients who may not otherwise be able to afford health care via traditional sources. We screen potential employees to first ensure alignment with our core requirements followed by the requisite position skills set. - 4 Total Locations in the greater Asheville area.

- 18 total providers including 7 physicians.
- Competitive Base Salary Depending on Experience
- Bonus Structure - Bonus earned after exceeding benchmark (16 patients per day is benchmark)
- Earn up to an additional 25K annually

- Location: Asheville, NC
- Outpatient primary care in the FQHC setting
- Schedule: 4 Shifts of 10 hours per week
- No weekend or holiday work required
- Typical Volume: 16 patients per day
- MA and RN assistance
- EMR: Epic
- Assess, maintain, and improve the health status of individuals in the communities served through timely access to evidence-based acute, preventive, and chronic disease care.
- Serves as a role model of professionalism to all members of the interdisciplinary health care team. Collaborates with all other practitioners including Physicians, APNs, PAs, Therapists, Dentists, etc., and clinical support staff to form a high performing team.
- Cultivates a climate of safety, trust and compassion for patients and colleagues.
- Provides medical evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to patients of the clinic in a timely manner, including responding to emergencies and answering medical questions.
- Provides high-value cost-conscious care; demonstrates good stewardship of resources by limiting unnecessary testing and referrals; and considers risks, benefits, and patient preferences when making diagnostic or therapeutic intervention decisions.
- Documents all patient care activities and bills for all services provided in the electronic health record. Documentation must be clear, concise, accurate, updated, and in sufficient detail to allow another provider to continue the patient's care as well as to allow other parties to review the safety and quality of care provided.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Current or ability to acquire an unrestricted state of North Carolina MD or DO licensure
- DEA certificate required.
- BLS, DEA DATA 2000 Waiver and all applicable certifications required (must be obtained within 30 days of employment).
- Must be Medicaid & Medicare eligible.
- AAHIVM Certification preferred.
