Location: Utica, NY Category: Other Posted On: Mon Oct Job Description: SUNY Polytechnic is establishing a new center for Design, Research, Electronic technology, Art, and Media (DREAM). The DREAM center coordinator will be a motivated organizer and advocate that will coordinate the activities of the new center. The DREAM center activities will include gallery exhibitions, seminars, workshops, and performances. The DREAM center coordinator will also assist with identifying grant opportunities, contribute to writing grant applications. Other responsibilities will include tracking and compiling data, maintaining records, budgeting, and compiling annual reports. + Coordinate all time and spaces, coordinate schedules, book rooms, book receptions + Make sure resources are available as needed for all event, keep track of gallery supplies + Manage center calendar + Manage regular communications and reminders among all center members + Coordinate with all exhibitors and visitors. + Manage website and social media, coordinate our social media team + Coordinate with our graphic designer (or other volunteer) to get posters and flyers made + Coordinate with our printer to get posters and flyers printed + Get information out to community mailer, and circulate to campus monitors + Coordinate with our student assistant and volunteers to get flyers posted around campus + Providing detailed documentation of all center activities (including photos and guest lists). + Keeping a clear record of our budget and other administrative matters such as meeting minutes + Tracking and compiling research and creative output of center members + Facilitate a liaison between the DREAM center and the broader arts community. + Attend local art events. + Build and maintain relationships locally, nationally, and internationally. + Coordinate gallery student assistants and gallery volunteers, coordinate DREAM center faculty. + Send helpful reminders and notes, maintain engagement across campus. + Assist with identifying grant opportunities and contribute to writing grant applications. + Other reasonable duties Salary: $15.00 - per hour / up to 20 hours a week. Temporary position Job Requirements: Minimum Requirements: + Must have a degree in a field related to arts or to communications from a college or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. + Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, and strong communication skills.
