Job description

We are seeking a Junior Estimator to join a growing general contractor specializing in healthcare interiors throughout the NYC and Tri-state area. This is an office-based position with training provided for candidates who are eager to learn and grow in construction estimating.

This midsize general contractor has been a key player in healthcare construction for over 30 years. Based in Westchester, NY, the company is known for treating its employees well, offering clear paths to promotion, and fostering a long-term career environment. The company works on medical facilities and hospitals, handling projects valued between $1M-$5M, and often self-performs its work.

Description

  • Assist in preparing cost estimates and bids for healthcare interior projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to gather information for accurate pricing.
  • Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain bids and pricing.
  • Use construction software (SAGE experience is a plus but not required).
  • Participate in virtual and in-person meetings to review project estimates and scopes.

Profile

  • Entry-level or a few years of experience in construction estimating.
  • Willing to learn and be trained in healthcare interiors.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  • No degree required; previous experience and subcontractor references are highly valued.
