Job description

The Senior IT Applications Analyst is a business facing role responsible for the configuration, validation, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support of various IT applications and systems. The candidate will be managing Regeneron Cell Medicine (RCM) Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Management system as the Technical System Manager (TSM). In this role, you would be expected to lead efforts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on system configuration, technical change controls, CMDB hygiene and audit related activities.

The candidate will support the development of technology solutions, processes and/or integrations to ensure that IT Systems meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. This role may work across different aspects of Systems Administration, Systems Documentation, Software Assurance, Architecture including Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Information Architecture and Integration Architecture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Translates business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all architecture design and analysis work & acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies to drive targeted business outcomes.
  • Provides deliverables like standard definitions, reference models and architecture designs to help management assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment on the business and IT.
  • Collaborates with architectural leadership in the planning and design of new solutions; participates in the evaluation, design and analysis for the implementation of solutions and/or integration architecture across business applications or technologies based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities, business requirements and enterprise standards.
  • Supports architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution and/or integration development across including applications, technologies, processes and information.
  • Creates reference architectures focused on detailed design principles, decision points, detailed APIs, major systems and dependencies between business and IT; documents As-Is and Target Architectures
  • Analyzes the business-IT environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical risks, and recommends solutions for improvement.
  • Acts as a Technical SME/Lead on initiatives for Blue Mountain (RCM BMRAM)
  • Responsible for System documentation, including, converting User Requirement Specifications to a Detail Design Specification, writing Configuration Test Plans and summary reports.
  • Configures reports (tabular, trend and labels).
  • Acts as a TSM SME on audits.
  • Processes IT Applications change control request & works with Validation and Quality departments to ensure IT Applications are implemented following development life cycle approach.
  • Provides end-user support for IT Applications including troubleshooting problems at the application server level; oversees all aspects of application, including configuration, development and upgrades
  • Works to build monitoring metrics for support of the application, oversees major and minor enhancement schedules and works with appropriate IOPS or Corporate IT Teams to create actionable system or process improvements
  • Follows the methodologies and standards for IT project documentation and implementation, which includes guidelines, procedures, standards, and monitoring for organizational compliance.

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold a BS/BA in Information Technology or related field and minimum 5 years of relevant experience. Project Management Experience, professional qualification preferred and GMP experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry highly preferred. May consider experience in lieu of education; level decided upon completion of an interview process.

Salary Range (annually)

$76,100.00 - $124,300.00
