Title: Material Cutter/Puncher
Pay Range: $16.00 - $18.00 hourly
Schedule: M-F 7:00 AM -3:30 PM
Summary: Responsible for accurately cutting and packaging plastic sheets according to production specifications, ensuring quality and consistency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Packaging
- Packages assembled product for stock.
- Completes production forms as required.
Receiving
- Verifies description, thickness, and sheet count.
- Places product into Biocryl area.
Biocryl
- Cuts plastic sheets and strips on shearing machine to within designated tolerances.
- Performs quality control checks on sheets for marks as well as thickness and dimensional checks.
- Punches plastic into circles or squares as per production schedule.
- Packages pieces into finished boxes and labels boxes.
- Stocks finished goods to proper locations in the warehouse.
- Becomes cross-trained on other jobs as required.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School or equivalent
Minimum Requirement for this Job:
- Good mechanical aptitude.
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiple & divide).
- Ability to understand and carry out routine oral and written instructions.
Other skills and Abilities:
- Previous experience running industrial equipment helpful.
- Previous forklift experience helpful.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to review data, draw conclusions and make suggestions based on data.
