Job Number: R Advanced Quantum Scientist The Opportunity: Are you excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by quantum information science? Are you fascinated by the possibilities presented by quantum computing advances? We have an opportunity for you to use your analytical and experimental skills to improve quantum computing, communications, and sensing capabilities for the DoD. You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide direct quantum support in both a theoretical and experimental research capacity. You'll mentor and learn from teammates, design and run advanced experiments, study and evaluate complex data, and recommend changes and alternative solutions. You Have: Experience with studying quantum mechanics and the quantum effects that enable quantum computing Experience with performing research in quantum algorithms or quantum materials Experience with handling large data sets, including data collection, manipulation, analysis, and interpretation Experience with applying artificial intelligence or machine learning techniques Ability to convey complex concepts to a diverse audience either written or verbally Ability to work collaboratively in a manner that leverages diverse backgrounds and expertise Ability to demonstrate scientific publications in quantum algorithms or quantum materials Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Science Nice If You Have: Experience with leading and managing teams of scientists and engineers Experience working in a laboratory environment Knowledge of low and room temperature qubit measurements, including MKS Knowledge of cryogenics, lithography, fiber optics, or computer-aided design (CAD) Knowledge of quantum error correction or quantum machine learning algorithms Knowledge of quantum transduction and qubit technologies based on ion traps, superconducting circuits, or photonic integrated circuits TS/SCI clearance Master's degree in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Science preferred; Doctorate degree in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Science a plus Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,600.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
