Job Opening: Outpatient Therapist LCSW

We are determined to provide quality care to our patients and families by keeping caseloads relatively smaller than other agencies. We also provide trainings and supervision specific to the treatment of eating disorders and encourage the personal development and growth of all staff to expand skills and discover additional specialty areas.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs psychological assessments for patients seeking mental health therapy and refers to appropriate level of care.
Provides initial and ongoing patient assessment to develop, maintain and implement objective, measurable and realistic treatment goals, methods, and objectives.
Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy and other clinical services appropriate to patient needs.
Maintains a full caseload and works with patients to keep the number of no-shows and cancellations to a minimum.
Attends multidisciplinary meetings and shares patient goals, progress, and requests/offers feedback related to cases.
Attends staff development and program initiatives and participates with the team in developing these as indicated.
Requests and responds to supervision/consultation offered by the Executive Director, Clinical Directors, and other staff and provides direction, feedback, and positive support to supervisors.
Pursues personal and professional growth using internal and external resources.
Actively participates in QI, Utilization Management, and Risk Management processes. Performs chart audits as requested and ensures compliance.

DOCUMENTATION AND REPORTING
Ensure all patient paperwork and documentation is completed in a timely manner.

OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Participate in agency meetings and training as required.
Maintain confidentiality and complete all job functions in an ethical and culturally competent manner.
Complete other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
LCSW
Master's Degree in Behavioral Health required (e.g., social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family counseling, art therapy, etc.)
Minimum 5 years direct experience
May supervise therapists
Experience with adults and adolescents and knowledge/skills related to the provision of family-based treatments.
Experience in substance abuse treatment.

Required Certification/Licensure
NYS OMH Qualified Health Professional.
Valid clinical credential and/or licensure with valid registration and maintained in good standing.
If not yet licensed, commitment to working toward licensure and applying for a permit, if applicable.
