My client is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to oversee their Upstate New York Territory. They are a leading provider of Injection Molding machines for the Medical, Automotive, and Commercial sectors. Description

The key responsibilities of the Field Service Technician are:

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Setup: Perform installation and setup of injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and associated peripherals at customer locations.
• Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
• Customer Support: Provide technical support and training to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment operates at optimal performance.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate service reports, documentation of repairs, and service logs in compliance with company and customer standards.
• Equipment Testing: Test machinery after repair or installation to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Emergency Repairs: Respond to urgent customer service calls and perform on-site emergency repairs in a timely manner.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and sales, to support customer needs and improve product performance.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring that both personal safety and customer safety are maintained during service visits.

Profile

The successful Field Service Technician will have:

• Education: Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a field service technician, preferably in the injection molding industry or a similar industrial equipment field.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing injection molding machines.
  • Knowledge of control systems, PLCs, and robotics used in injection molding.
  • Familiarity with various molding processes (e.g., blow molding, thermoplastic molding).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in various environments (factory floors, customer sites), and travel extensively.
