Location: Olean, NY and Bradford, PA

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic Emergency Medicine Department in Olean, NY, and Bradford, PA. As an integral member of our emergency care team, you will contribute to providing exceptional and timely medical care to a diverse patient population.

Responsibilities:

  1. Emergency Patient Care:

    • Conduct rapid and thorough assessments of patients presenting to the emergency department.
    • Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for acute medical conditions and injuries.
    • Administer life-saving interventions and medications as necessary.
  2. Shift Flexibility:

    • Work rotating shifts, including 9:00 am - 9:00 pm, 11:00 am - 11:00 pm, and 2:00 pm - 2:00 am, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
  3. Team Collaboration:

    • Collaborate closely with emergency physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver coordinated and efficient patient care.
    • Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions.
  4. Emergency Procedures:

    • Perform and assist with a variety of emergency medical procedures, including suturing, wound care, and splinting.
    • Administer and monitor the effects of intravenous medications and fluids.
  5. Certifications:

    • Maintain current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support).
  6. Licensing:

    • Hold a valid NY license for Olean, NY, and a valid PA license for Bradford, PA.
  7. Volume Management:

    • Manage patient care in a high-volume environment, with an approximate annual volume of 25,000 in Olean and 14,000 in Bradford.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
  • Current state licensure and board certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Experience:

  • Experience in a busy emergency department is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in performing common emergency procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
