Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Accounting Manager to lead our technical accounting efforts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS), strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information effectively. You will play a crucial role in shaping our accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance, and supporting our financial reporting processes.

Description

  • Oversee the implementation and compliance of accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial instruments.
  • Review and prepare technical accounting memos and documentation to support accounting decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for new transactions and business initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support the external audit process by providing necessary documentation and addressing any technical accounting inquiries.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to reflect current standards and best practices.
  • Provide training and support to finance and accounting staff on technical accounting matters.
  • Monitor changes in accounting regulations and standards and assess their impact on the organization.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required.
  • 5+ years of technical accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or large corporate environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience with complex accounting issues and transactions.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
