Job description

Duties You will review Task Group Instructions (TGI's), related instructions and drawings and itemize list of materials needed and initiate requests for material needed. You will track the needed material and insure it will be available when the job is scheduled to start. You will prepare material request forms, indicating status including delivery dates and location of material. You will sort the information available in the database to develop task packages for execution of work. You will determine what quality assurance and support documentation is necessary to complete the job and prepare/assemble them with the package. You will be responsible for identifying, calling out and assembly of all Job Materials needed to perform a task within a work package. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift. Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs. Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO PROVIDE PRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES. -Experience reading and interpreting TGI's, drawings, process instruction, specifications, Corporate Nuclear Power Manuals, technical manuals and standards, and work request documents. -Experience coordinating work with others. -Experience communicating with various levels of personnel, using oral and writing skills. -Experience assisting first line supervisors, zone managers, schedulers, and P&E personnel. -Experience answering questions, resolving work problems, and giving technical assistance in trade related requirements. -Experience managing administrative and production work in relation to the ship repair, maintenance, or inactivation business. -Experience applying basic knowledge of inter/intra trade support work centers and the required procedures and processes to accomplish prefabrication and assist work. -Experience working in the Machinist trade Applicants must meet the requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Job Qualification Handbook for Trades and Labor Occupations.
