Job description

We seek a Data Analyst, who will be a part of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Group, will oversee tasks such as managing a proprietary database and acting as the main contact for internal legal and analytical support. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in client management systems and handling dockets with numerous individual cases.

Description

  • Collect, organize, and analyze information from various sources, including client data and settlement history, to identify and address problems within the database and reports.
  • Manage a proprietary database with consistent growth, while using statistical methods to develop solutions and advising the team on problem-solving strategies.
  • Serve as the main contact for internal teams seeking legal and analytical support, and communicate findings and recommendations to supervisors and colleagues.
  • Develop and manage business intelligence solutions, create and maintain documentation, and recommend improvements for operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with team members for data collection and task execution, and understand budgeting procedures for effective resource planning and development needs.

Profile

  • Self-motivated and effective communicator with strong organizational skills, adept at managing multiple requests and working in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Proficient in internet research and office programs such as Word, Excel, Access, and Adobe, with experience in client management software.
  • Knowledgeable in cite-checking, proofreading, and grammar, with experience in major arbitration panels (e.g., JAMS, AAA, FINRA) and mass tort cases preferred.
  • Skilled in processing complex calculations and handling large data sets, with strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experienced in collaborating with colleagues and clients, and capable of using various programs for detailed analysis and documentation.
