Description:

Provide professional and exemplary customer service to all guests in adherence with Wollman Rink policies, rules and regulations to ensure a safe and world class environment.


Requirements:


  • Responsible for greeting guests properly in various locations of the facility, directing them to desired locations, and ensuring proper crowd flow
  • Check in clients for skating lessons
  • Relay messages to coaches and back-office staff
  • Provide World-Class service to all guests, vendors, and employees at all times
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with all team members
  • Anticipate and respond professionally to guests' needs, concerns and questions
  • Learn all Wollman Rink policies, procedures, locations, and event specific information provided
  • Provide guests with friendly, accurate directions
  • Monitor assigned areas to identify issues, report and notify appropriate personnel, and ensure compliance with facilities policies, cleanliness, and safety
  • Adhere to all Company policies and procedures, including uniform and appearance guidelines
  • Work well with others, assist teammates, and perform and complete a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, without the loss of efficiency or composure within Guest Services guidelines
  • As necessary, handle tough, high-pressure situations while remaining calm and professional
  • Work in skate shop, assisting customers with sales and operating Point of Sale system; handling cash and credit card sales.
  • Assist skaters in preparing for their lessons, including tying skates, helping with hockey equipment (training will be provided)
  • Complete other duties as assigned by managers
  • May work in cooler or warmer temperatures; indoors or outside, and involve standing for 6-8 hours

Educational Background Required

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred

  • Exemplary customer service skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Outgoing and positive; you seek solutions vs focusing on problems
  • Ability to actively engage with guests

Work Environment

This position may work indoors or outdoors in inclement weather. The position will require you to work a mix of early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays.
