Do you have access to resources that have done large scale GL conversions. Preferably Oracle focused on cut over of balance sheet, Income statement and associated reporting from old system to new system. Especially when cutover is during the year or mid-month.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle GL Conversion Specialist to assist with a large-scale General Ledger (GL) conversion, focusing on migrating the balance sheet, income statement, and associated reporting from an old system to a new Oracle-based system. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in GL conversions, with particular expertise in Oracle systems, and will be able to manage the complexities of cutovers during the year or mid-month.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the execution of large-scale GL conversions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of balance sheet, income statement, and reporting cutovers.

Collaborate with stakeholders to define cutover strategy, focusing on minimizing disruption during mid-month or mid-year transitions.

Ensure seamless migration and reconciliation between the legacy system and Oracle GL, addressing any issues during the conversion.

Develop, document, and maintain conversion plans, mapping current GL structures to the Oracle system.

Provide post-cutover support to ensure the stability and accuracy of the new GL system.

Work closely with IT, finance, and accounting teams to ensure all reporting requirements are met post-conversion.

Qualifications:

Proven experience with large-scale GL conversions, preferably Oracle-focused.

Strong understanding of GL structures, balance sheets, income statements, and financial reporting.

Hands-on experience with Oracle Financials.

Ability to manage complex cutovers, particularly those occurring mid-month or mid-year.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
